About me and my Passion!

I've always been a tinkerer and maker and have an incredible amount of fun inventing, designing and realizing things.
I have been passionate about 3D printing for over 10 years now and I love designing and making things.

I started with a small self-built and self-programmed 3D printer, which consisted of many parts thrown together and used the pitiful skeleton of an ANet A6.
Surprisingly, it stayed with me for many, many years, even though every print was an adventurous experience.

At some point, however, the maintenance was a pain in the neck so much that I decided to build/buy a new printer and so my faithful Sidewinder X1 came to my side, which has now been with me since 2020.
But since it only had an 8-bit board and no auto lvl, I ordered a new mainboard and display together with the purchase of the printer and built a suitable housing.

With the SKR 1.4 Turbo mainboard, a 3.5" touchscreen, and a BLTouch leveling sensor, the Sidewinder has been an asset to this day. Despite several thousand hours of printing, mainly with PLA and PETG, it has only consumed 6 nozzles and has not had a single defect. I occasionally check to see if everything is in order, otherwise you just turn it on, home all axes, and it prints without complaining. However, it does this at an average of only 90mm/sec, which is quite good for this printer with Marlin firmware, but is a bit too slow for me in the long run, which is why I ordered something...

I ordered a 27kg kit for a Voron 2.4 r2 with a 350x350mm print bed at the end of February 2024. I ordered the kit from the company MagicPhoenix, which has a good reputation for the quality of its components, but does not exactly shine with fast delivery (25-40 days), so unfortunately I am still waiting for the delivery.

I am incredibly excited about the construction and quality of this grandiose machine and its speed and print quality. It will also be my first printer that works with Klipper software. So stay tuned!

Until I find a solution that works for me, I will attach the Cults3D link to the project here, but the long term goal is to host and distribute the files myself, as Cults keeps 20% of the sales price as a "fee" for themselves, which is very annoying, considering that I do all the work and they just host the site.

3D printing and electronics are my passion and due to a disease in my spinal cord, this is a way for me to keep busy despite my severe limitations.
